Claude Grison Honored for Her Research

A native of Castelnau and a research director of exceptional rank at the CNRS, Claude Grison was recently awarded, on Wednesday, September 23, the prestigious title of Officer of the National Order of Merit. As the founder and director of the Bio-Inspired Chemistry and Ecological Innovations Laboratory, she has developed an innovative approach to remediating mining sites using plants capable of absorbing metals. Her research has since expanded to include the beneficial use of invasive plants, such as water primrose, as well as the creation of Crusoé natural mosquito repellents.
