women in science

Delve into the inspiring journeys of ten remarkable women scientists who are redefining the frontiers of knowledge and challenging a predominantly male scientific world.
Despite their fundamental contributions, women scientists are all too often overlooked. In fact, since the Nobel Prize was established, 894 men have received the award, compared to only 60 women.
The documentary series *Women in Science*, consisting of 10 episodes of 12 minutes each, spotlights remarkable women in the contemporary scientific world who are often unknown to the general public. Whether they are research unit directors, PhDs, or members of the Academy of Sciences, through these intimate portraits we discover their unique journeys, challenges, discoveries, and the impact of their work.
Their stories serve as a source of inspiration for younger generations, demonstrating that cryptography, astrophysics, midwifery, biology, and neuroscience are scientific fields where women have a rightful place.
