Patents in Europe: A Record for France, but Still Far Behind Germany

Transportation, energy, chemistry… France has seen an increase in the number of intellectual property applications filed in Europe. Strengths and weaknesses. French chemist Claude Grison won the European Patent Office’s 2022 European Inventor Award in the “Research” category for her work on using plants to remediate industrial sites.
