It cleans up soil and water using… plants!

She has just been named European Inventor of the Year! Claude Grison, director of the ChimEco laboratory, has developed methods for decontaminating soil and water using plants. Even better: the metals recovered in this way serve as “eco-friendly” catalysts for the synthesis of medicines and cosmetics. A closer look at her method using water primrose, an invasive exotic plant that thrives in the south of France.
