Professor Claude Grison, a finalist for the 2022 European Inventor Award

During the “Science, Art, and Society” session on the theme, “Connecting with Plants: Yes, but How? Living in Harmony with Plants,” organized by the Castelnau-le-Grand-based association Connaissance & Partage last April at the Agora du Crès, Professor Claude Grison, a research director at the CNRS, presented her work on decontaminating polluted soil using plants that absorb metals.
Researcher Claude Grison has developed a method for using plants to extract metal elements from contaminated soil and employs these “eco-catalysts” to create new molecules for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.
