Ecocatalysis: A New Integrated Approach to Scientific Ecology

The uncontrolled effects of numerous human activities threaten the environment by disrupting biological dynamics and biogeochemical balances. To contribute to industrial renewal, it is now necessary to adopt an interdisciplinary approach to ecology that reconciles environmental protection, technology, and the economy. Ecocatalysis offers an innovative approach to phytoextraction and rhizofiltration. Thanks to this innovative, bio-inspired green chemistry, the plant waste generated is transformed through ecological recycling. Combined with phytotechnologies adapted to pollution and the biological remediation of contaminated sites, this natural restoration system contributes to the valorization of biomass and facilitates the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Ecocatalysis offers a comprehensive, integrated vision of all components of the industrial system and their sustainable relationships with natural systems and the biosphere.
