A new eco-friendly process for synthesizing hedione

The traditional chemical synthesis of this freshness booster, which is highly sought after in the fragrance industry, is highly polluting. Laboratory research conducted by the CNRS and the startup Bioinspir has validated a new process that uses green chemistry technologies and is solvent-free.
